Its a 420 predetor from Harbor Freight. The easiest way it looks like to me woudl be to wire it into the oil shutoff switch. Would this be ok or should I wire it in to something else? |

On one end of your tethered kill switch fasten a ring terminal to ground onto the motor and the other end make a Y connection with two wires going into a bullet connection. One wire will come from the tethered kill switch and the other will be a short section of wire about 4-5". Put the opposite bullet connection Male/female on the other end of the short section of wire. Then unhook your factory motor kill switch to the ground wire that goes under the fuel tank there should be two bullet connections, take them apart. Now connect the short section Y that you created to the factory connections. Run your motor and test, this setup should allow you to use your tethered kill switch and your factory kill switch. I wired mine this way and it allows you to disconnect your tethered kill switch in case of an emergency and it fails. Good luck |
